| Woodcock Haven Kennels
Trainer Al Ladd’s Woodcock Haven Kennels website was created to communicate the important information his prospective clients need to send their dogs to Al for gun dog or field trial training and handling. Since many clients live in far-off states and never have the opportunity to meet Al and his wife Donna, or inspect the kennel, the copy and look of the website needs to address these key issues: the trainer’s experience, success and trustworthiness; the cleanliness of the kennel and the training and care the dogs will be given.
Photography was used to show the dogs in training situations both in Maine and on Woodcock Haven’s North Carolina training grounds. Field trial wins are accompanied by photos of some of the winners on point, illustrating Al’s talent as a trainer. Landscape photographs of real grouse, woodcock and quail cover speak to the upland bird enthusiast and help convey a key and priceless feature of Al’s training program — wild birds. Also featured is a pdf of a published article on Al Ladd and his training methods.
The Woodcock Haven Kennels logo is carried over to ads in specialty magazines which give necessary information and invite viewers to find out more on the website.
